Village Renewal Organisation believes in Natural Resources Management which plays a significant role in community development in terms of generating employment opportunities that lead to sustainable economic development of the farmers. We have undertaken soil conservation activities including rain water harvesting, bund plantation, and afforestration programs in our target villages. Community members were extensively participated in NRM activities using the tool of Participatory Situation Analysis (PSA).

We have supplied horticulture saplings of 4 varieties i.e. Mango, Pomegranate, Coconut and Guava besides distribution of vegetable seed kits for raising backyard kitchen gardens to a total of 70 Households covering two villages i.e. Ramapuram and Alagayapalem in Prakasam district. Also supported vegetable seed kits for 650 Households covering in 9 Tribal habitations in Atmakur and Dornala mandals of Kurnool & Prakasam district as part of promotion of backyard kitchen gardens to supplement the nutrition deficiency among the children, nursing mothers and carrying women. Awareness programs on Climate change and its effects on agriculture & horticulture crops and on importance of Biodiversity were conducted in target villages. Tree plantation has been done extensively during rainy season in many of the target villages. We have supplies about 5000 plants in villages in collaboration with Forestry department under Social forestry program.

Village Renewal Organisation in partnership with National Green Corps (NGC-Ministry of Env. & Forestry-GOI) organized Eco-clubs involving the school children from 50 Government High Schools in Nellore district. Eco-clubs focuses on Water, Land, Energy, Waste & Trees in conservation in school premises and extended to communities as well.
